The Process: Each clay tile is hand-made and completely unique. Your favorite images are baked into a strong white clay and sealed to a UV proof and water-proof state with a hi-gloss, glass-like finish. To seal the tiles I use a product whose main property has continued to leave a glass-like finish without cracking or yellowing for over 18 years. I spent over a year researching, developing and perfecting my product line and I am forever dedicated to providing the highest quality in workmanship and design.

Your Image: If you already have a favorite photo all you have to do is email it to me and I will turn it into a piece of wearable art. If you plan on taking the photo and you would like a little direction in getting that perfect image for a tile so small just email me at DJD@q.com and I will be happy to give you suggestions on getting a great photo of something that is so special to you. In either case, I have the software and expertise to digitally enhance your images if desired. By digitally enhance I mean basic photo editing such as, correct or remove unwanted items, whiten teeth, brighten eyes, soften skin, correct colors, use soft filters, add black and white or sepia toning, just to name a few. Basic photo editing is included in the price.

Copyright: Any photographs submitted to me for use on my custom photo jewelry cannot be copyrighted. If you know that your photo is copyrighted, it is your responsibility to first obtain permission from the copyright holder in order to use your photo for duplication purposes. Delaney Jewelry Designs is not responsible for acquiring this permission. By submitting your photograph to me, you are agreeing that your photograph is not copyrighted or that you have already obtained permission for its duplication.

My Guarantee: Since each piece is made by hand, no two pieces will ever be alike or “perfect”. Very slight irregularities in the shape and color of each piece should not be considered defects. All custom orders are handcrafted upon receiving your specifications, therefore we do not provide cash/credit card refunds on custom orders; however, if you are not completely satisfied for any reason I will replace or repair the unworn product within 30 days of your receipt.

Photo Tile Care: My clay photo tiles are water~proof and UV proof, but I ask that you treat your jewelry as an heirloom. Please remove your photo tile jewelry before showering or swimming to protect it from harsh soaps or chemicals in the water. Please use a polishing cloth on the tile or any sterling silver touching your photo tile to remove tarnish and finger prints. Avoid exposing your photo tile jewelry to parfumes and hair spray as they may damage the finish.

Refinishing: Just as you would take any piece of fine heirloom jewelry to your jeweler to have it restored, I am able to restore any of my clay photo tiles. In the event that the surface of your photo tile suffers from trauma or from normal wear and tear that may occur over time I offer a resurfacing service below.
